To all of our friends, family, sponsors, and many supporters:

Because of all your love and support we have completed our cross-state ride and raised over $6,000 for the children in the Kingdom Kids orphanage and College Jean Rigaud Antoine school! Zach Huber among others will be taking the clothing donations and money down to Port-au-Prince towards the end of the summer. Thank you so much for all of your help. We couldn’t have done it without you :)

A Cross-country bike ride to raise money for a Haitian orphanage and school

The Children in the College Jean Rigaud Antoine school, joy amongst disaster.

We are three recent college graduates who have heavy hearts after the recent disaster in Haiti. We decided to try to find a unique way to help ease the suffering, and settled upon a cross Michigan bike trip across the the state of Michigan! We are excited to see how your generosity can change the lives of the Haitian people.

Who we are helping:

We are helping a non-profit organization called
Servants for Haiti. They fund an orphanage named Kingdom Kids, and a school, called College Jean Rigaud Antoine, in Port – Au –Prince, Haiti. There are 41 children in the orphanage; who range in age from infants through middle school. The organization Servants of Haiti helps to contribute to the greater community as well as the orphanage and the school. Currently as a result of the earthquake Servants of Haiti has been helping the local church provide necessary aid to the community.

Why we are doing this:

The recent 7.4 magnitude earthquake that devastated Port-Au-Prince also crippled the orphanage and local school. We want to raise money to help make repairs to both, as well as supply food and medical supplies to the children and community.

What we are doing:

We will be attempting a cross-Michigan bike ride from Holland, MI to Port Huron, MI. We will be raising money for every mile that we ride by going to corporations, businesses, and individuals in hopes of reaching our goal of rebuilding the community.

We will ride from Tide to Tide.
